- Make sure you are comfortable with the material on the topic webpages
listed for the first four weeks on the
Syllabus
- Have your book ready
- Have your notes ready
- Open your ssh connection to lampbusters.com
start up "alpine" and type "i" to get into the index of your messages
- NOTE. When you get the exam in alpine, you will use the arrow keys to
highlight that message, hit "enter" to open it, then "R" for Reply, "Y" to
include original message in Reply (VERY IMPORTANT YOU TYPE Y for that) and
you will insert your answers in between the questions
- Note 2: Make sure to use the "reply to" address.
- Make sure that you answer according to what works on lampbusters, do not
test out answers on a different Linux box
- Remember, you only have 60 minutes.
- Oh, and part of your grade is being able to follow the instructions,
so points will be deducted if you decide to change things, or you may be
asked to do a retake.
Now, is all of the above done? Are you sure? Really? Ok, take a deep
breath, and then choose which of the following is appropriate. Note, you
MUST choose the right section, choosing the wrong section qualifies you
for an immediate retake.

If you didn't pass the exam, and have talked to me to get the new
password after you have reviewed the material I suggested, you can Take the Makeup Again, you have only 60
minutes once you start.
