The night has passed since the dragon Shiran and the felitauress Diane have pledged each other as Kech't. The family sleeping pile has nearly dissolved as various members have woken up and left, so an unfamiliar voice purrrs, "Time to get up." in Shiran's ear and shakes his shoulder gently.
Shiran blinks, and sits up, shaking himself.."Mrph.. Um. Right. Awake."
A jet black felitauress grins back at Shiran and chuckles, "My, dragons are rather like felines. Sleep well?"
Shiran pulls himself to his feet. "Sorry. Long day yesterday.." He pauses, tilting his head. "I don't believe we've met, have we?"
The felitauress frowns, then smiles, "Just barely. You really only had eyes for my daughter. I'm Zaura, her birthmother."
Shiran grins, and executes something of a half-bow. "..which would make you my mother-in-law, or something like, wouldn't it?"
Shiran hmms. "And.. oh, yes. I do remember you, now. Being fully awake helps."
Zaura bows also, then pads up and headrubs, "We don't really use that kind of terminology, and I'd feel odd calling you "son", but you are a part of our family now. You gave up your last chance to run last night. ;)"
Shiran steps into the headrub. "I think I gave that up several months ago. Ah.. okay. It's hard to keep track, who does what. So many sets of customs."
Zaura purrrs, "Are you hungry? Nearly everyone has left already. I have a feeling it took you a while to get to sleep last night, so you slept in a bit. Are our customs so different from your own?"
Shiran chuckles. "Technically, 'my own' customs belong to a somewhat.. centralized society that doesn't even know about other worlds, so _Everything_ outside it is different."
Zaura's eyebrows raise at that, "An isolated world? Then how did you ever meet my daughter?"
Shiran stretches out a bit, snapping his wings straight back. "A long story. Basically, I was more or less catapulted from home by accident, landed in a new home where I lived.. somewhat over a year before Copernicus' expedition came. The rest, as they say, is history."
Shiran hmms. "If everyone's left.. am I keeping you from something?"
Zaura chuckles and shakes her head, "Not today. It's nice to have a day off now and then. I don't remember if you said you wanted something to eat or not?"
Shiran hmms. "Breakfast would be.. greatly appreciated, if I wouldn't be trouble."
Zaura purrs, "Oh no, no trouble at all. I dislike eating alone. So, what do you like in the way of food?"
Shiran begins quietly strapping on boots. "What would be 'usual' here?"
Zaura hmmms, "Well, we usually go for slow moving food in the morning."
Shiran hrrrrms. "Honestly.. I'd prefer it cooked first, but I think I can catch my own, at least, and I'd rather not be a bother."
Zaura ahs, "You want really slow moving food then. Hmmm. We have some fruit, cheese, maybe even a little bread, and some braised rodent of some sort. And milk or juice for something to drink. Sound good? Then we'll have to see how to keep you entertained today."
Shiran chuckles. "Sounds good. Diane did tell me about the stocks you usually use, though.. and I can do my own hunting, even if I have to do a bit more preparation for safety's sake afterwards."
Zaura reappears with a 6 foot long tray heaped with food and purrs, "Safety's sake afterwards?"
"Meaning I should cook it properly, since I can get sick if I'm not careful." He stops, and blinks. "Entertained? I should probably be fitting into whatever routine you keep, while I'm here."
Zaura plops the tray down on the low table that has risen out of the floor and sits down herself. As she devours the food in normal Chirr'T'Thar fashion, she purrs, "You come all this way to Tharhome and you just want to stay at your mate's home? ;)"
Shiran munches on bread. "Well, no, but I figured I'd be drawn into chores, business, and so on.. I doubt you want me here just as a hanger-on."
Zaura munches away and ponders, "Well, our clan's business has been asteroid prospecting for quite a while. The paperwork end of it is Ryenar's responsibility as clan head. I'm not sure what we'd have you do, and I understand you're only here for a short while, you have to return to your responsibilities elsewhere?"
Shiran nods. "True.. anyway, if you really want to give me the tour, I'll hardly object." The dragon grins. "I.. doubt I'd be much use with asteroids in any case."
Zaura grins as she tosses down another braised rodent, "Any idea of what you'd like to see? I wish Diane had been able to show you around, but she's busy. Maybe later Kinet can also show you around to things mels enjoy more."
Shiran chuckles. "Err... what would you usually show the tourists? I don't know too much about what there is to see."
Shiran . o O {If I could keep up with him.}
Zaura shrugs, "It depends on what they want to see. We have our training schools in engineering. Museums, plays, gaming areas of various sorts. Libraries, and of course many social events. Dances, flight competitions, hunting groups."
Shiran hmms.
Shiran says, "I'd have to rule myself out of flight competitions.. I cheat somewhat in that area. Libraries might be something left to.. solo exploration, since I'd be interested by things most find boring. Museums, maybe plays would sound good."
Zaura nods and crunches on her food and swallows, then notes one of the little plates on the tray is missing. She sighs. "Well, I'm not sure what plays will be on later this evening, but we have several museums. One that documents our history in space, and space travel in general. Another that goes through as much of our races history as we know. Are you sure you want something so...calm?"
Shiran grins. "You sound like there's something else you'd rather show me."
Zaura grins, "Well, there is a dance festival today. ;)"
Shiran mock-sighs. "Well.. if you can promise me I'll be home in one piece?"
Zaura smiles, "I have to promise that. My daughter would be very unhappy if I was the one to break her mate. ;)"
Zaura gets to her feet and picks up the tray and pads off to put it away, purrring, "Surely you know how to dance?"
Shiran chuckles. "Then I guess I'm playing 'follow the leader' again. I.. er, sort of, and I get the feeling what I know isn't quite what you'd use."
Zaura pads back and grins, "Well, our dance is rather freeform usually. The idea is to have fun, and celebrate being alive. Are you ready, mate of my daughter?"
Shiran inclines his head. "I follow your lead, mother of my chosen."
Zaura's tail shakes mirthfully and she chuckles, "I like you. Diane chose well."
Shiran nods, and shakes out his wings. "A good phrasing. I was given a chance to run, but not much more." He grins. "Are we off, then?"
Zaura leaps up through the open ceiling and lands on the edge of the roof and purrs, "Yes, let's get going. I can show you some of Chareka as we fly towards the park."
Shiran tenses, and follows, beating his way to the roof. "I'm right with you, and I can keep up, if you don't go.. supersonic, I think, is the word."
Zaura giggles, "Faster than sound? That's considered rude here within the city limits. And not overly safe. Well, if you can keep up, then lets go." With a flick of her tail, she leaps off the roof and snaps her wings open after picking up speed during her fall. She seems to be gliding while waiting to see what Shiran can do.
Shiran pushes off, wings near full spread, diving steeply then pulling up to climb into a cruising glide, where he sweeps his wings back; faint, misty contrails trail from their outer tips.
Zaura smiles a predatory smile and accelerates to cruising speed rapidly, seeing how well this dragon can keep up. She heard about how he beat her other daughter, Sapphis.
Shiran's wings begin to 'sing' and shimmer, with an occasional wingbeat, as he keeps a rather tight formation with Zaura.
Zaura purrowls appreciatively at the dragon's flying skills. She adjusts her speed so that they can pull nearly even, but so that her long wings won't beat him senseless. "I hope to see you and my daughter in a sky dance someday Shiran. You can see the space port over to the far side of the city. That's where you landed. And over there is one of our engineering schools."
Shiran pulls up and rolls through a full circle, stopping briefly upside-down, to look, then drops back into place. "Impressive place.. and a request I'd be happy to fill."
As the two fly over, the city is alive with felitaurs. Numerous ones flying around them, and walking on the ground too. A few felitaurs are selling their wares on the streets below, but only a few. Near one tall building, some obviously younger Chirr'T'Thar are spreading their wings, leaping off...and crashing, mostly.
Shiran winces at some of the landings. "It's still a bit of.. a stretch to see them do that without hurting themselves."
Zaura purrs, "Oh, it hurts. Believe me, I know. But it does them no serious harm, and it tends to toughen them up. By their early teens, most Chirr'T'Thar cubs are much too impatient to wait for their wings to be fully grown. In a month or so, they'll be able to stay airborne for a while. Landings will be a problem for a good year longer though."
Zaura grins, "It will be interesting to see how your child grows up."
Shiran hrrrms.. Remembering Coper's reputation for controlled crashes even later. "I'd wondered about that, given the huge gap in builds between us."
Zaura does a few loops in the air, nearly spinning in place once as the greener park area looms ahead, "That's part of it. Mostly, we like open spaces when on land. Usually that's not as easy to come by in space."
Shiran rolls neatly out of the way. "And the other part?"
Zaura chuckles, "Well, it's a well known secret, we're much more graceful in space than in an atmosphere."
Shiran eases back, still taking in the city. "Too bad. I really don't handle not being able to breathe well."
Zaura hmmms, "I wonder how hard it would be to design a space suit for you? Something to consider. Ah, there's the festival now!" One paw points down to a riot of color and motion, both of fur color, and the various dyes, paints and streamers the dancers have adorned themselves with for the celebration.
Zaura angles down towards the brightly colored throng of felitaurs, a wide grin on her face.
Shiran rolls into a dive, following the felitaur. With all the colors it's not hard to tell where they're headed.
Zaura lands at the edge, where a space is kept open for those just arriving. Low tables have been set up, with a variety of spools of ribbon, and small tubes of pigment are laid out. She turns to look at Shiran as he lands and just grins. The air is alive with the growls and purrs of the Chirr'T'Thar language.
Shiran glide-drops onto the platform, and mantles his wings. The dwagon eyes the decorations and hrrrms. "Err.. am I supposed to be painted?"
Zaura chuckles, "It's up to you, but I'd appreciate some help with my adornments, if you don't mind? ;)"
Shiran inclines his head. "Of course.. though I can't promise any skill."
A few of the other Chirr'T'Thar who are tying on ribbons and painting on colors start noticing Shiran, and several give Shiran a good looking over.
Zaura purrs, "It's just a matter of catching attention, not skill. Here, a few ribbons to tie on my tail if you will? And are you sure you don't want any? Not that you aren't already gaining attention. ;)""
Shiran hmms, and goes hunting for a set of bright metallics, which he snips off and begins tying on. "Ah. Um, I am?"
Shiran eyes the paints again and hmmms as he works.
Zaura nods and points to the various felitaurs who are 'checking him out'.
Zaura, meanwhile, ties a few ribbons to the edges of her wings and arms, and even adds a few small bells. She then grabs some white pigment and adds a skunk like stripe across her nose and forehead, and down her back. On a jet black pelt, it's a striking effect.
A bit further down, two small cubs, under the not so watchful eye of their mother, are 'decorating' each other too.
Scorch grins as he puts yet another fluorescent blue pawprint on his little sister's backside. This is great, normally he'd get in trouble for this at home.
Shiran follows her gaze.. and gulps. "Ah. Wel.." He eyes the paints, and picks out a few tubes. "What for?"
Stardust harumphs at her brother, and bats at the side of his head, armed with a pawful of bright red paint.
Zaura chuckles, "Well, you're exotic to them. We've never seen a "dragon" before Kainudy dropped by, and she also did this trick that went over really well during one of our skydances. ;)"
Shiran quietly begins tracing silver along the vanes of his wings. "Might as well look the part. Hmm..." He gets a decent chunk of paint on one talon, and traces a spiral set of line round one eye. "I see.. er.. she's in the city?"
Shiran. o O {Which probably means trouble..}
Zaura hands Shiran the white pigment tube and purrs, "Could you continue the stripe down to my tail tip? I can't wait to get going. No, Kainudy was apparently caught in a side effect of our first gate trial. Copernicus claims she should be ok."
Scorch heys at Stardust and gives her a bright green tail in revenge.
Stardust yeeps, and pounces Scorch, smearing him with more paint!
Scorch mock growls and returns the pounce, armed with two tubes of really gaudy paint, and some glitter.
Shiran nods, and applies paint; an artist he's not, but he's decently handy with a paint tube. "Ohhhh. Why doesn't this surprise me? Still.. as much trade as you get, I'm surprised you haven't seen as least some draconics before now."
Zaura wiggles slightly as Shiran paints a white stripe down her back. Her tail curls lightly around his arm for a moment, giving it a snug before letting him finish, "None that have ever come to Tharhome before, we've had plenty of stories from those on more remote routes. Apparently we were getting rather picky in our trading partners towards the last part of our stay in...our old location."
Stardust grrrrs, wrestling with her brother and the paint tubes, trying to pin him to the floor so she can _really_ paint him up.. ;)
Scorch is getting nearly as much paint on him as he is on his sister, but doesn't seem to care. The paint is making them both slippery, making a pin down harder to do.
Zaura starts giggling and points out the cubs to Shiran. ;)
Shiran nods. "It's just strange, being called 'exotic'." He watches the rather wild pair with one eyes, while the other appraises the ribbons, and pulls a silvered slip off one rack to tie around a horn as a final touch.
Stardust does her best to paint Scorch in rather garish colors, though it's difficult to be choosy over colors when you're wrestling... ;)
Zaura stretches out and shakes, causing the ribbons to fly around and the bells to make a nice riot of noise, she turns to look at Shiran, "Very nice indeed. Ready to four foot it? Er...sorry, dance? ;)"
Scorch hmmmphs and grabs at the large bag of glowing glitter while struggling with his sister.
Shiran chuckles. "They're certainly going to stand out." The dwagon steps back at the flying ribbons. "Ahem. I'm ready to try. No promises about rhythm, though."
Zaura grins and purrs, "Let's head to the main dance area then." and turns around and walks into the throng, but not before curling her tail tip around Shiran's wrist.
Stardust throws her weight from one side to the other, trying to roll her brother over..
Shiran gets half-lead, half-taildragged along.. and tries not to 'eep' at being snugged by an adopted relative; in spite of knowing better, he's left witht he odd feeling that Diane might be jealous.
Behind the two, several felitaurs blink and back up as a large cloud of glitter shoots into the air when two fighting cubs pop the bag open, coating them both heavily.
Shiran glances back. "In fact, those two should probably shine indeed in the crowds.." He laughs.
A deep purrchuckling laugh as Zaura finally gets to the dance area. Felitaur's are proving how much they like to jump and whirl and twirl as they dance around.
Stardust coughs a bit as the cloud of glitter envelops her, and bounds several steps away from him (though not before giving him a good bap with the back of her paw). It was all his fault! She had nothing to do with it! O:)
Scorch grrs and grabs a couple large spools of ribbon and bounds after his sister. At this point, they both have "a coat of many colors".
Shiran grins at the dance steps. "I see I'll need the wings, hmm?"
Stardust hrmphs at Scorch, turning and bounding away from him as fast as her legs will take her!
Shiran watches, and lets his wings twitch as he tries to get a feel for how to match such.. agility.
Zaura spreads her wings slightly and bows towards Shiran, "Of course. Flaunt them if you have them." and whirls around Shiran and then rears up and does a few steps on only two legs, before dropping back to all fours.
Shiran grins, and uses one wing to push himself up into a whirl opposite Zaura's, then uses the other to stop himself, and bows at the end. "Of course." He chuckles, and tries to get a better feel for the music.
The music is loud and brash, as expected. Mostly a deep heavy drumbeat. A little odd as it's designed for those with four legs, but lively. A few flute and horn like instruments add to the sound, and a few felitaurs are even singing. While the singing isn't incredible, it's not as bad as one would expect. Or at least Shiran would expect after having heard Copernicus a couple times.
During this, two multicolored cubs, trailing a cloud of glitter and pigment blotches behind them, are running after each other through the edge of the dancers.
Shiran isn't used to music this heavy or loud, but it is danceable.. he pulls his wings down, back, then in, and grabs Zaura, pulling himself under and whirling again.
Zaura purrrowwwwwls and grins, whirling around Shiran, her trailing ribbons and ringing bells adding to the general confusion around them. As per custom, another female, and a male whirl over to join the two.
Shiran lets go, and ends the twirl by putting his motion into a wing-assisted hop back, landing on partially bowed-knees, snapping his pinions to partial open, then closed with twinkles of silver. "We've company?"
Zaura chuckles and nods to Shiran as the felitaur male twirls with her, and the sable colored female moves around the young dragon, a bit of mischief on her face.
Shiran doesn't notice the expression, being decidedly caught up in trying to dance wild, new steps to unfamiliar music.. being unused for four-footed prancing, he tries to stay with steps-by-circles, by sweeps and snaps of wing in time to the drums.
The sable colored felitauress does a classic feline move. You've seen how little housecats can curl around their owners legs? Well picture a 400 pound felitauress doing that to a dragon who's trying to dance.
Shiran doesn't have to; he eeps, caught stopping himself and suddenly squish-hugged.
The newcomer licks Shiran's nose, then leaps away, tail flicking along his wings before she whirls around towards him again. Zaura stumbles into her new dancer partner slightly, nearly overcome with laughter at the look on Shiran's face.
Shiran stands stock still for about two seconds, jaw hanging open, before he uses a snap of his right wing to keep from stumbling.
Zaura ponders going over to rescue the newest member of her clan, who looks to be in utter shock.
Shiran mrphs; apparently even dances aren't safe here. He keeps an eye on his newest 'partner' in case there are any more surprises.
Zaura moves closer to Shiran and friend, to act a little bit like a buffer, while still flirting heavily with the male who's flirting back with her. About a hundred feet away, a female with a tortoise shell pattern arrives at the dance with a few admirers.
Zaura purrrs over the noise of the dance to Shiran, "She's just saying she thinks you're cute."
Shiran stops a moment in mid-step to raise an eyeridge to Zaura before continuing. "Quite a statement, that."
Zaura chucklepurrs, "We don't believe in hiding our feelings, as I think you no doubt know by now. ;)"
The tortoise shell female dances and flirts like a typical felitaur, but isn't quite as agile, being rather pregnant.
Shiran sideslips between two of the others in the 'group' of dancers, and laughs. "So I'd gathered." With that, he lets himself be carried back into the 'mix'; it's either that or have his tail stepped on by accident. He turns his head as one eye catches a tortoiseshell pattern through the crowd.
The tortoiseshell felitauress is indeed Diane Rockhopper, off early from work, and flirting with another felitaur pair, barely visible to Shiran.
Shiran grins, somehow doubting this to be a coincidence, and catches Zaura on the next time 'around', speaking as quietly as he can and still be heard. "Would it be rude to break out for a bit?"
Zaura grins and shakes her head to Shiran, then whirls around the sable colored female herself.
Shiran chuckles, and bows out.. then begins slipping through the crowds as a best he can; being a nimble little drake can be helpful at times, after all.
Diane, oblivious to Shiran's approach, is dancing and flirting with the felitaurs around her.
Shiran hmms, and seeing Diane already in the midst of a 'set', opts to edge around, and bob his head with a grin, mouthing 'boo' at an opportune moment.
The larger of the two, a male, twirls around Diane, and rubs along her flanks. He sees Shiran's approach and grins a welcome. Diane, of course, is looking the other way.
Shiran quietly ducks back into the crowd as best he can manage the look of someone dragged in by 'accident'.. and shivers.
Shiran . o O {And I worried about her being jealous. Okay. I was warned, though..}
Shiran runs a hand over the unpainted side of his forehead, and makes his way back to Zaura and the others.. this isn't something he's quite ready to deal with.
Zaura is bouncing around brightly when she notices Shiran coming back with an odd look on his face. She excuses herself from her dance partners and walks over to Shiran.
Shiran steps up to Zaura. "Back."
Zaura's whiskers twitch, and she purrs, just loud enough to be heard over the din, "What's wrong?"
Shiran shakes his head. "Something I should probably get used to. Dance?"
Zaura stretches her neck slightly as she peers in the direction Shiran just came from, and gets a glimpse of her daughter. A look of understanding crosses her face and she purrs to Shiran, "I understand."
Shiran bobs his head. "I'd be.. clumsy right now, I think."
Zaura nods and hmmms, "Let's head over to a quiet spot for a few minutes, shall we?"
Zaura's tail gently wraps around Shiran's wrist this time as she leads them through the crowds to the edge of the park.
Shiran sighs, and nods, following; the felitaur he recently took as a adopted relation seems to know better what to do.
Zaura finally curls up under a tree, far enough away from the dancing that the music is just a dull throb in the background. She motions for Shiran to have a seat next to her.
Shiran flops to a seat, careful only of his wings. "I knew, before, I think, but I didn't know, if it makes any sense. Wonderful foresight, eh?"
Zaura smiles softly, "It's one thing to know it in your mind, but another to actually know it in your heart. I think that's what someone said once."
Zaura turns to look at Shiran, "So, what now? Do you love my daughter any less?"
Shiran shakes his head.. "More than that. I thought I could just know, and not.. be involved myself, if that makes any sense." He turns, and looks up. "Not at all. I just feel terribly awkward, and I shouldn't."
Zaura hmms a bit and nods, "Well, as much as she will try and be discreet because she doesn't want to hurt you, you're bound to bump into each other from time to time. As for feeling awkward, she will feel the same way. She cares for you a great deal, and doesn't want to see you hurt."
Shiran mmphs. "Give me time, and I'll be used to not being a single-pair.. but for now, I think it's best if I duck out.. like I said, I'd be clumsy."
Zaura nods, "Probably best then. Just remember, she chose you to pledge with, and is carrying your child. Maybe it's not the kind of "being faithful" you're used to, but to us it shows a great deal. I do wish I could help you feel better somehow."
Zaura shrugs and purrs, "You up for some more dancing? Or would you like to head back to the clan home?"
Shiran shakes himself out. "Well.. since I'm going to need to immerse myself in the way things are done here.. let's dance, hmm? I could use a distraction."
Zaura turns her head and gives Shiran an intense stare, "I can understand learning what you can of us, and learning what it takes to deal with your new family. But no one, not even Ryenar would want you to give up who and what you are for us. So many other races have tried that with us, that we realize how wrong that can be, and don't you forget that youngling."
Shiran only barely understands the stare for what it is; to him, such gestures are too usual, too normal to be 'intense'. "Don't worry. This isn't the first massive shift I've made, and it's likely to be easier than the last one.. I'll tell you the story sometime, if you want. If I can make the jump from Firaia to here, I can make the rest."
Zaura nods, "Good to hear. I have a feeling there will be a lot more joy and fun than difficulty for you. Let's go dance, shall we?"
Shiran nods. "Now.. about those statements people to seem to make, hmm? Are they always such surprises...?" He begins walking back.
Zaura chuckles as she drags Shiran back to the dance, "We do sometimes like to make statements without words. Our biggest problem is that it's difficult to read your expressions."
Shiran doesn't need dragging. "And yours for me, as well. Another thing that takes getting used to, hmm?" He seems calmer, at least.
Zaura chuckles and rubs heads with Shiran, then starts whirling and bouncing and twirling around Shiran again, noting with relief her daughter's mate is apparently feeling better. Mixed matings are always rough at first.
Shiran slips into the music again.. a welcome diversion, giving him time to settle before thinking of this again.
As the two dance, part of the crowd starts parting in their direction. Two small, bizarrely colored projectiles trailing a dozen yards of ribbon each zip through the dancers, chasing each other.
Shiran blinks, catching the colors..."Duck!" He proceeds to do so, tugging Zaura in a 'safe' direction in the process.
Shiran. o O {Incoming!}
Zaura blinks at Shiran and plants all four feet, turning to see what the problem is rather than running, typical felitaur behavior. And if they weren't so hard to kill, a behavior that would wipe them out rather quickly.
Shiran, being a five-foot dwagon, lacks that sort of luxury, and stops only now to see what it is is coming.
Stardust leaps and bounds as fast as she can, trailed shortly by the glittering form of Scorch. Veering wildly to one side, she scampers beneath Shiran and Zaura, the ribbon flapping about behind her...
Scorch bounds over Shiran and Zaura, trying to cut off Stardust. The ribbon he trails snags another felitaur's leg as he bounds around after his sister.
Shiran makes a quick, wing-assisted dodge; being a small dwagon has it's advantages, too.
Zaura starts and rears up, trying to dodge the little ones also, but goes off balance and her tail grabs Shiran for support.
Shiran beats his wings hard, trying to balance four times his weight in kittytaur.
Scorch circles around and around the two taurs and a dragon, determined to get his sister.
Stardust yeeps, and twists and bounds off in a new direction, away from Scorch! Her ribbon tangles about Shiran's ankle as she dodges and circles the group!
Shiran is suddenly caught between a pulling 'taur in each direction, and finds himself fervently hoping something give before he does..
Scorch bounds across Zaura's back and over the head of the dragon. In short order, Shiran and Zaura are in a heap on the ground, trussed up by two cubs who are also caught, as the ribbons are firmly tied to each others tails.
Scorch growls, "Hey, leggo!"
Shiran siiighs.. then begins to laugh. "Well.. never let it be said today was boring, hmmm?"
Stardust rrrrrfs! "No, _you_ leggo!"
Zaura grins in spite of herself and purrs, "And just think. You'll have a cub of your own in a few months. ;) As they say, grandchildren are a parent's best revenge. ;)"
Shiran tries to squirm a wing free. "Oh? Did I do that much to you, now?" He shakes his head laughing. "Here, let's see if we can't untangle.." So saying, he begins trying to pulls the two of them loose.
Zaura grins, "No, just my daughter. Yes, lets get out of this. ;)"
